born in france and raised in italy and santa barbara, kinka was surrounded by the creative and artistic influences of his mother who taught dance and his father, a graphic designer. 
starting his film career as a pa, kinka soon became an award winning director/dop, opening house of usher films as his santa monica based commercials production company. 
kinka’s diverse list of commercial credits include award winning campaigns for  polaroid, nissan, miller lite, pepsi, nike, mountain dew, apple and adidas. his prestigious list of credits is too long to list, ranging from numerous cannes lions to twice, the director's guild of america director of the year. recognised for his collaborative working relationship with advertising agency creatives and his ability to tell a complete, visually arresting and smart story in 30 seconds, has gained him a global reputation.
